Our current website and back end systems are quite extensive, so a large part of the work will be updating, modifying, or fixing current code. You will need to be able to work with this existing code, even at times when it is not well structured or commented. Due to the fact that we are a small business, you will need to be well rounded – everything from API programming, to aesthetic homepage redesign, to bug fixes would be under your responsibility. The atmosphere is very dynamic - we implement updates or changes on the spot.
Social Media / PR Manager
As an internet company, Puget Systems requires a strong online presence, personality and brand. Social media plays a large part in this, and we are in need of an experienced individual to give dedicated attention to this area. In this position, you would be expected to expand our followers and improve our engagement. You would leverage social media to convert sales, improve customer relationships, and address concerns. At the same time, we need that same face of the company to be present in a more traditional sense, as our PR Manager. In this role, you would be managing press relationships, writing press releases, facilitating system reviews, promoting Puget Systems to industry tech publications, and coordinating with manufacturer press and marketing teams. This position requires the ability to work independently and set your own goals. While the position will begin with clear objectives, where you take it is largely up to you! Experience in the industry is strongly encouraged.
Sales Representative
Our sales representatives are responsible for all customer help before a sale is made. They enjoy a very close dynamic with our customers, working with them closely to design the best computer for them, based on their needs and budget. Often it will mean introducing the customer to new ideas and ways of achieving what they want, in a way that we might know will provide a better overall computing experience. It means weighing what they want, and what experience you have, to provide the best computer possible!
A good deal of this interaction is by email, but also includes phone calls. It is a specific concern that we maintain excellent availability and response time to our customers. We need people that are self-motivated, and who truly enjoy helping people. After all, a custom computer is a significant investment that deserves good care and attention!
Support Representative
Our support representatives take over the responsibility of customer care once an order is placed. When customers have questions or need help, our support team is on call! This position also involves frequent emails, but tends to be more phone calls. Again, it is a specific concern that we maintain excellent availability and response time to our customers. Within the allowances of our warranty policies, it is the job of our support team to solve our customers' problems as thoroughly and quickly as possible.
Our support team is also responsible for keeping a close eye on any trends we might be seeing in our support requests, and responding quickly to inform our sales staff if there are any problematic configurations we should be avoiding. We have a detailed system for making this happen, and it is a very important role in the custom computer business. After all, the best support department is the one you never have to call!
Production Technician
We're not a good computer builder unless we have a great build crew! This critical team takes care of our inventory, prioritizing and performing our computer builds, thoroughly testing the finished systems, and packing them safely for shipping. Our production technicians not only are responsible for cleanly building Puget Systems computers, but also have to be very responsive to learning what customers are looking for from the sales staff, and what problems they can help prevent from the support staff.
Regardless of the type of position, you're looking for, if you are self-motivated, with strong leadership skills and an interest in helping us develop Puget Custom Computers into a more and more successful company, we encourage you to apply!
