Default Why is there almost no discussion about fax software?

I just wonder that, why is there almost no discussion about fax software in the computer or technology forum. I found joyfax server in some download site. Does people not care the fax software at all?? Sometimes, I want to know whether there is some good function of the fax software, such as "fax to email" or else.. But I can't find anyone talk about it in the computer related forums.
Do you guys know, what kind of forums may have discussion about fax software?

I'm afraid not. I think most users tend to simply email things to others. Fax are sort of the "thing of the past" and I doubt very many casual/home users would use it. Only business people, but then they'll have a standard physical fax machine.

    Just my 2 cents.

I have a HP Scanner, and use Adobe Acrobat to scan my paperwork into a PDF file. Its easy to organise with folders you make for each subject, year etc. Works fast, easy and quite a bit cheaper than buying scanning software.

I use an HP 8500 all-in-one, which lets you print to fax pretty easily. Pretty nice unit. My last HP all-in-one, a 7400 series, lasted five years of moderate usage before giving up the ghost. Pretty good value for a few hundred dollars, in my opinion.

The 8500 has upgraded software, can handle legal size paper, and has separate color ink cartridges. I'm impressed with it so far.

Oh, and you can opt to save incoming faxes as digital files on a networked folder, also, which is handy.

My high school has a fax and I heard a noise from it I'd thought had died out: the dial-up internet loading sound. I thought that sound truly died years ago...
