    Lightbulb Architecture Student

What kind of computer can you suggest for me? I am in need of a laptop computer with a budget of 3-4,000 dollars. I want to build something that will be effective now and post graduation. I don't know much about what I need. I would also like to purchase a desktop computer at a later date if you have any input for me on that also. That being anything under 5,000.

i dont think you need to spend anywhere near 3-4000 for a laptop

i spent 1500-2000 for a quality laptop that did everything i needed especially in 3d.

it was a dual core, 4 gigs of ram and a 512 mb nvidia video card. 17" monitor
works great, i run a company and used that.

I always overprice everything. But the government will be paying for my laptop when it comes time to get one so I might as well get the best one I can. I built a custom 17" laptop with Puget for school which I will be looking at when it gets closer to my junior year. Anything specific I should be looking for? Thanks for the advice.

Hi John, What is the configuration of your Laptop ? I also wanted to buy a custom laptop ($3000 tops) and was just curious to see if it worked out for you.
