Scholarship Payments for Computers

Is it possible to use Scholarship money for buying a computer(assuming the Scholarship allows for this) here? It should be noted that I've no idea how I get the scholarship money(do I get the money up front or do I have to use my own money initially then get reimbursed after the fact? I don't think the latter makes any sense. If you can get the money up front why do you need to get scholarships for?). If anyone can inform me of this that would be great.

Depends on the scholarship and the terms, but in general the answer is no as they typically are used toward tuition (and room and board, sometimes books).

Best way to find out is to ask the provider of the scholarship.

I don't think so that's possible. Just as you've said "If you can get the money up front why do you need to get scholarships for?"
