The Puget Summit S2-4U is a dual-processor server, equipped with a pair of Intel E5 Xeon CPUs for extreme performance. This variant of the Summit is housed in a 4U, extended ATX rackmount chassis, appropriate for mounting in a standard 19" server rack. The spacious enclosure supports full-length expansion cards, as well as several optical drives and up to seven hard drives. Additional hard drives can be fitted by using removable bay kits, which are available upon special request. As with all of our Summit servers, this system is optimized for use with VMware vSphere 5 - but also works extremely well as a Linux or Windows server.
