Case Fans Upgrade Kit (quiet)

Puget Description

This kit includes the replacement of all 92mm and 120mm stock fans with quieter models, along with adding any additional fans that might be worthwhile to ensure a well-ventilated system. Each case is designed differently and every order is unique. Selecting this option gives our build team the flexibility to make sure that the computer you purchase has the most appropriate configuration of cooling fans.

We currently use Scythe fans, though as time goes and we discover new, quieter fans the brand may change (it also can vary depending on the size the case needs). In most instances this kit will involve at least two fans, and sometimes as many as six. We won't always put fans in every possible spot in the case - as sometimes the extra airflow is either unnecessary or not worth the extra noise.

Talk to your rep if you have specific requests for fan placement.

Puget Professional Advice
Jon Bach (President) Says:
This is a good pick if you are very picky about having a quiet computer, but the fans that come with most of our cases are not very loud to begin with, especially in our Antec cases. It is just a question of whether it is worth spending the extra money to make it a little quieter.

Richard Millard (General/Sales Manager) Says:
These are great fans. That said, the fans that come with most of our cases are already pretty nice quality, so I usually only recommend this upgrade to the most noise-sensitive customers.

William George (Customer Service) Says:
One of the first steps to make a system quiet is to make the fans as quiet as possible. Almost every system needs fans to keep components cool (even liquid-cooled systems), and they can easily be the loudest part of a computer. This kit lets our experienced production team decide what your particular configuration needs in terms of cooling and replace or adjust the fans accordingly. It is worth noting, though, that some cases come with very good fans to begin with; Antec cases in particular are like that, so if you aren't sure if you need these feel free to check with our sales staff.

Pricing History Knowing how pricing is trending is an important part of deciding when to buy. While computer hardware pricing most often decreases over time, it is useful to know if pricing is on the rise, or if pricing is in especially steep decline. This information can help you decide whether to buy quickly, or whether to wait for pricing to settle.
