In some configurations, particularly those with a hot-running motherboard or multiple video cards, a fan on the side of the computer blowing down to onto the internal components can be very beneficial - or even necessary in order to keep temperatures in a safe range. Many cases have such side fans, but if you get a case which does not then we have the ability to modify the side panel to have a fan mounted.
