Puget Systems Description

The microATX NSK2480 case is part of Antec's 'New Solution' series of cases. Designed for HTPC use, the case has a pair of 120mm fans to cool the motherboard area, rather than the usual 80mm or smaller fans in other HTPC cases. This lets the system stay cool with less noise, making the NSK2480 one of the quietest HTPC cases available.

We have found the power supplies included with this chassis to not be reliable, so we source the chassis without power supply. This results in a $20 discount, which is passed along to you.

I like this design. I would recommend it for use in HTPC applications. Very few other HTPC chassis designs allow the use of 120mm fans. Using 120mm fans makes this chassis relatively quiet and gives it good airflow (although generally not as good as you'd find in a tower-style layout). It is also priced much lower than most of its competitors like the Silverstone HTPC chassis, or even Antec's own 'Fusion' HTPC chassis.

I am using this case at home as my current HTPC, and while it isn't quite as quiet as I would like it is a lot better than most cases this size. That is largely due to the use of 120mm fans rather than smaller 60 or 80mm models that most cases come with. It also has rubber mounts for the hard drives, which help (though I can still hear the seek noises from the drives if I'm up close to it). The low height of the case lets it fit in places that most other models just couldn't go.
