This is a tuner card for home theater PCs, specifically built to work with digital cable. It utilizes a CableCard, which you would need to rent from your cable provider, in order to decode protected channels - but in doing so you can have access to the full set of TV stations you get, whereas many other tuners can only work with un-encrypted channels.

It also allows for up to four simultaneous channels over a single connection, meaning you could record three shows while watching a fourth!

For software to go with this tuner, you must use the Windows Media Center application built into all versions of Windows 7 that we carry.
