Puget Systems Description

This add-on card provides four USB 3.0 ports - three external, the other internal. The internal port is helpful for use in cases which have a front USB 3.0 port that needs to connect to a standard USB 3.0 plug instead of an internal header, while avoiding unsightly wiring out the back of the computer.

To accommodate the full speed potential of these new connections it requires a PCI-Express x1 slot (or larger) on the motherboard, along with a Molex-style power cable to ensure adequate amperage to your devices that draw power over USB.
