Micron is a new addition to our solid-state drive lineup here at Puget Systems, and among the first NVM Express based SSDs we are carrying. The direct PCI-Express 2.0 x8 connection it uses allows for speeds far higher than the traditional SATA interface, and the P420M reaches 3,300 MB/s maximum read speeds. Write speeds aren't as impressive, around 600 MB/s - but for workloads that are largely read based this drive is a great choice.
There are some oddities about this line of drives, though. It completely disables sleep / standby modes when used as the primary drive, where the OS is installed, and it needs a driver to be loaded during OS installation - so we are only able to use it as a boot drive on Windows based systems at this time.

Note: This is a server/workstation oriented disk, and standby/sleep functionality is not guaranteed.
