Malwarebytes, as the name implies, is a program for detecting and cleaning all manner of malware (software designed for malicious purposes). Its free version is for personal use, and provides on-demand scanning and removal of a variety of threats. Only the paid version includes real-time monitoring and detection, though, so it is a good idea to use a more specific anti-virus program as well.
