The Xonar Essence STX is a rather unique among audio cards, in that it focuses on quality for stereo and headphone users. By choosing only the best components and finest design, this card achieves unprecedented 124 dB SNR for speaker connections and 117 dB on the dedicated headphone output. A high-quality headphone driver supports up to 600ohms of impedance with lower than 0.001% distortion. In addition to those capabilities the card also has digital audio output, allowing use of high-end, digital surround-sound amplifiers and speakers alongside an analog heatset.


Note: Great for headphones, or analog 2-channel (stereo) speakers. Not designed for surround-sound output.
