Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro PCI-E

Puget Description

Chosen by professional gamers, the PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series sound card delivers the ultimate PC gaming audio experience. You'll hear realistic EAX® 5 sound effects and 3D positional audio that's so accurate you can locate opponents by sound - even over headphones. Plus, get unbeatable performance in your games with hardware accelerated audio and X-RAM.

It is worth noting that Microsoft has changed the way audio works in Windows Vista. DirectX and EAX hardware acceleration no longer function, in favor of a newer standard known as OpenAL. Creative Labs have developed a work-around, which allows DirectSound commands to be turned into OpenAL equivalents, so that older games can still have high-quality accelerated audio. More information about Project ALchemy can be found here.

If you have any questions, be sure to contact our sales consultants at sales@pugetsystems.com. They will be happy to help you find the right sound card for your specific needs.

Puget Professional Advice
Ruben Romero (Production Technician) Says:
Personally, this is one of my favorites from our line of sound cards. A very good portion of our motherboards support optical out with the onboard sound and it's never a nice feeling that upgrading means sacrificing. Better sound and Hi-Def options just makes sense to me. Also it's pretty nice to save a few CPU cycles by disabling the onboard sound, not as if it may matter now with the current line of CPU's, but it's always nice to know.
