Puget Systems Description

The Radeon HD 7970M is a MXM graphics card for high-end gaming laptops, the top of the Radeon mobile line for this generation and built on a new 28nm manufacturing process. Despite the similarity of the model number to AMD's Radeon HD 7970 desktop card, the performance level of the 7970M is more similar to the Radeon HD 7870. Still, an impressive capability for a card which has to run in a much smaller space and rely on less overall system power. Comparing it to NVIDIA's mobile line of video cards, the 7970M generally falls between the GTX 675M and 680M cards. If you want top-notch gaming performance on your laptop, and prefer AMD GPUs instead of NVIDIA, this is a good option.
