NVIDIA GeForce GTX 465 1GB

Puget Description

The GeForce GTX 465 is a scaled back version of the 480 and 470, which preceded it. Codenamed 'Fermi', the GPU on this card is extremely powerful - but also extremely complex. The size and speed mean it is a relatively hot-running card, and louder under heavy load than similarly-priced ATI options.

One thing Fermi-based cards like this excel at is maintaining good frame-rates in games, which can make a noticeable difference in graphics-laden titles. SLI scaling is also very good on these cards, though not all cases can adequately cool two of them.

Puget Professional Advice
Ruben Romero (Production Technician) Says:
After reading various hardware articles online, the GTX 465 is basically a GTX 285 that is DX11 ready. Thus the performance will be somewhere between a 5830 and a 5850. Great for maxing out the settings at 1680 x 1050 gaming and acceptable at 1920 x 1080. I only wish that nVidia would have made the reference cooling solution similar to that of a GTX 480.
