What is a Puget Preferred Part?

Our "preferred parts" program has two goals:

1) To help you choose only the best components for your computer.

As we work with a wide selection of components each day, we look closely at which components are the best value and the most reliable. These are parts we would personally use in our own computers, and would highly recommend to anyone! These parts are preferred because we feel they are superior to the others.

2) To look at a large selection of components, and decide which ones Puget will stock, in an aid to creating faster build times by carrying more inventory.

In some cases, as in size of hard drive, speed of processor, or amount of memory, the value and reliability of the parts is relatively equal. It would be impossible for a small company like Puget to carry inventory on all of those parts, so we select 3-4 of the best value items from each line, and add them to our preferred program. We carry more inventory of our preferred parts, so by selecting them, you are likely to see faster build times and faster RMA replacement times since they are parts we keep in stock.
