Who says a quiet system needs to be expensive? With smart design, you can make a very quiet computer on a small budget. This system uses a Lian-Li PC7H+ case, which uses 120mm fans -- much quieter than 80mm fans found in most cases today. The CPU is cooled with a SilentBoost cooler, one of the quietest we have, with excellent cooling. Even the hard drive is quiet -- the Seagate hard drives have a very low amount of access noise, and the liquid ball bearing ensure no whine from the platter spin. Even the video card is quiet -- you have to be careful with video cards. Many high end cards use loud fans, but the 6600GT fan is very nice. Lastly, the Antec Neopower power supply rounds out the system as yet another quiet component. In the end, we have a very quiet system! No acoustic padding, no expensive drive enclosures, no liquid cooling....just intelligent design!
