If you've ordered a computer from a large manufacturer in the past, you know how they load it up with trial software, advertisements, and promotional materials. This kind of "software junk" is not only annoying, but can even slow down your computer! At Puget, we install ONLY the software you order from us. All bundled software that comes with your hardware is still passed on to you, but we do not install anything you didn't order. That leaves you with a completely clean installation!

What we WILL do is make sure you have the most up to date installation possible. Your motherboard BIOS is flashed to the most recent version. All Windows service packs and updates are applied. We use the latest stable drivers provided by the manufacturer of each part. From start to finish, we make sure your machine is using the most current software available!

Take special note that we give you EVERYTHING we receive in the process of building your computer. Manuals, disks, games, software, brackets, screws....you get it all! The only things we do not pass along are the boxes for the components, but we can do that too on special request!

Read what our customers have to say about our os installation!

"If I could rate Puget Systems higher I would! I simply love this company and I feel very grateful to have found them. I am currently on my second PC from them and couldn't be happier.

Pros:
- Reliable, fast response, best customer service I ever seen.
- Puget Systems does not add bloatware to there computers. Meaning you won't have computer with useless junk on it. Just the operating system you ask for and things you actually need.
- Puget Systems really listens to you and they do not try to up sale you with add-on parts that don't fit your needs or budget.
- When you order a PC you can watch the process with updates on there website so you know what's going on every step of the way while it's being built which is pretty cool because it's nice to see what's finished, what part are in order, and thermal pictures of your PC to show you where most of the heat is at so they can configure the fans properly to reduce heat in your PC.
- You can upgrade your computer you bought from them for free as part of there lifetime commitment to you as a customer and they'll even clean the dust out if you ask! So if you need a new video card and a power supply they can put it in for free. Great if your local if not it depends on shipping and handling costs.
- If you got a problem with your computer they actually care even after the computer is sold. Also a one year warranty and parts from Puget Systems is included. They also email you to check up on how your PC is doing after you use it 6 months or so to check if you're still satisfy with your purchase.
- Best benefit I found is if you're local like me you can always drive up to there place of business and avoid shipping and handling cost.
- Products they use are tested for reliability so there not going to sell you cheap unreliable motherboard, power supply, etc... They only sell parts for computers that they have tested a lot and feel strongly about when it comes to parts being reliable.
- If you call and talk to a sales rep and you have no clue about computers or what each part does they will explain every part and what it does and how it helps you when it comes to your needs in your computer you're trying to build. So you can also learn about computers parts and know which part you should spend more money on and what part you really don't need to.

Cons:
- Can take up to couple week since they have to build your computer and sometimes they have to get a part if its not in there inventory at the moment. With that being said this isn't really a con for me but, had to put something!
- If you're not local I assume things might not be good when it comes to upgrades or issues with your computer due to shipping and handling cost.
- They can be tad bit expensive if you're on a low budget depending on your needs of course. Nice thing though they will be honest and at least tell you the price and try there best to find best way to work with your budget."

"Great company. Great computers. I've been a customer since 2007 and have bought three machines from them (a laptop in 2007, a desktop in 2009 and a laptop for my wife in 2012). Still have all three. We use the 2009 and 2012 machines daily. The 2009 desktop is the one I still use for work every day, and it is fantastic six years later. It's great to know this company is doing so well. I won't buy a computer anywhere else. https://twitter.com/SandoESPN/status/639937794949840896"

"I needed to get a new desktop pretty quickly when my 5 y/o big box system started getting glitchy. But I had been out of the market for a while and am not very current on the latest technology. I needed help aligning my current and future needs with a solid system at the best price possible. At first I was a little leery of being up-sold beyond my needs. But the sales approach use by Puget Systems staff is very supportive and I quickly realized I was in the good hands of a consultant who cared about me. I had a few questions, mostly about compatibility, which were addressed accurately, sometimes even after hours. That's service!

The Spirit system I got is very fast and quiet. It has no bloatware in my face. And they provided a shell to hide Win 8.1 that is a dream. to use When I picked up the system i was shown the few things I needed to know, and was given a notebook that documents my whole experience from specs, through the build, metrics and testing, to photos. Being able to get on line and track the progress of my order made me feel a part of the process.

The bottom line is that I will go back for all my computing needs and won't hesitate to recommend Puget Systems to anyone."

"I have had my laptop for two days now. It is the best computer I have ever owned. Deliver was on time and set up was flawless. It was really nice NOT having all the preloaded junk software that one encounters with a Box Store PC. Just Windows and the apps I selected. My Office 2013 downloaded easily as did two specialty programs. It is lightening fast and it has a crisp, clear interface. I also liked the documentation that came with the laptop, very, very helpful. My overall experience was outstanding. You get what you pay for! I have given up my creaky old Windows Vista PC and my Apple IPAD1 and use my laptop exclusively."

"The whole experience from initial inquiry to receiving the finished product was great. Puget System's customer reps answered all of my questions promptly and professionally. Receiving regular updates and the ability to watch the build progress and testing steps was quite cool! Puget puts out the extra effort to be transparent and keep it's customers informed. The PC arrived well packaged and with excellent documentation. I especially like the fact that they did not load it with any "bloatware" or superfluous apps. I got a very clean machine with nothing more than what I asked for. You won't find bottom barrel prices here, and that's okay with me. I was willing to pay a little more for a well designed, tested and reliable product. All in all, I'm very pleased with my new PC and Puget System's excellent service and
integrity."

"I am SO impressed with Puget Systems, from the quality of their website, to their personal review of my submitted order, to the speed of the build, to the online details of the process of building, testing and then shipping the product. The 3-ring binder with software CDs, instructions, specifications, thermal pics, etc. was most professional.

I needed a business server. I didn't have time to evaluate all the possible configurations, so I told them what I thought I wanted, they suggested a couple of changes (that saved me almost $500!) and then delivered a fantastic product. My local IT company came to migrate the old server over to the new, and commented "Oh, they already did all of the initial setup." They were able to jump right in to the serious work, saving me hundreds of dollars of their time.

I'm sure that a good technical person could do for themselves what Puget did for me less expensively. But as a business owner, I didn't want to have to spend my valuable time mucking about with a balky computer. That is not my forte. I wanted instant perfect results. And that is what I got.

I'm going to be in the market for a new workstation soon, and I know where I'll be buying it - Puget Systems!"

"Greetings!

I am now the proud owner of a Puget Systems, Serenity SPCR system, and I just wanted to provide a few notes for anyone that might be thinking about purchasing a system from Puget Systems, or is looking into the Serenity as a silent computer.

The Company: Puget Systems is a custom computer shop, with a product line that covers everything from laptops, servers, home theater, gaming rigs, and exotic power machines. Their attention to detail and customer service is well documented in the multitude of existing product reviews and testimonials already in place. I can honestly say that this praise is well deserved. I am extremely happy with my purchase, with the service provided by Jeff, my customer representative, and with the entire team that built my specific machine. While Puget's prices may be a little higher than a mass market vendor, you get what you pay for. In this case, attention to detail and technical skill that makes your machine less of a commodity and more of a system designed, built, and tested just for you.

Hardware Build: When the system arrived, I was stunned at how neat and clean the machine was. The packaging protected it through the hardships of UPS handling superbly. The system itself had been cleaned (no fingerprints) and clear static film had been put on all cosmetic surfaces to protect them. Internally, the monstrously huge CPU cooling radiator, graphics card, and all other 'projecting bits' were held firmly in place by an expansion foam pack. It required a little tug to remove, but was otherwise harmless.

Software Build: The software experience out of the box was somewhat traumatic, but not because of Puget Systems: I was used to XP, and moving to Windows 7 was a bit of a shock. I suspect the migration from Office 2003 to Office 2010 will be equally disorienting. Anyway... From Puget's perspective, the software install was flawless. The company prides themselves on providing a stable, clean installation out of the box, without any bloatware, trial packages, or other junk that clutters up the program bar and hard drive. This was very true - there was no unnecessary software loaded, everything was as pristine as though I had installed it myself. If anything, I had to load a few basics that I use in normal operation (Acrobat and Flash viewers, Windows games, etc.). But it is nice not having to clean up after an installer!

Testing, Packaging, and Documentation: The packaging contained every single part, screw, sticker, booklet, etc., from every component that the machine shipped with. I expect that box will sit in a closet for a while, but that is okay. It is still nice to have it.

Along with all of the bits, Puget also included a binder including a welcome letter, quality control log, all of the software including restoration and tools disks, model numbers and details for every component, thermal and benchmark results run before shipping. They even included business cards for the buyer to pass along to others if they like the machine. The one thing I miss in the binder was the thermal photographs from burn in - that would have been a nice, but minor, touch.

The packing was built to keep the machine safe in transit. I can understand by Puget Systems recommends that customers hang on to the boxes in case they need to ship the machine someday. The system was well packaged, arriving in perfect condition, thanks to their efforts.

Silence: I have been a proponent of silent computing for years now, and the Serenity is far quieter than my old Hush was. Even doing everything SPCR recommends you do NOT do (i.e., having the machine running on a desktop less than a meter away), the machine is nearly silent. The electronic noise from my monitor is louder than the computer is. So, if there is anyone like me out there, who might be hesitant about buying, don't be! The Serenity SPCR is as quiet as advertised!

Summary: I am extremely pleased with my Serenity SPCR machine by Puget Systems. I have been impressed with the company, their order process, and the people that take the time out to research each part. The hardware build is exceptional, the software installation is clean, and the order process is both helpful and informative, providing the exact status of your machine as it is being constructed. Thank you!

Puget Systems may not be for everyone. There will always be some buyers that are looking for the cheapest possible, off the shelf computer. Others will want to research their own components and build their computers themselves. That is fine. But for those that do not have the time or desire to do that kind of research, and who do not mind paying a little bit extra for quality and stability, Puget Systems is certainly the way to go. I strongly recommend them!"

"Puget built the perfect computer for me. You can not hear this thing run (except when the CD\DVD platter spins up). Only top quality components configured efficiently and professionally. No ad-ware, no trial software, not even a company sticker on my computer.

I compared other companies and other products and settled on Puget for their reputation, customer service, and quality products offered. Their price was very competitive with other custom builders that offer service after the sale. I would recommend this firm if you are tired of the same old cookie cutter systems offered by the mass market firms."

"A great computer buying experience and a computer that exceeded my expectations. This is my third custom build (first with Puget) and there is no comparison between the prior machines and level of service. Puget Systems is the only way to buy a new machine.

William helped me from day one back in June when I started looking. The rather long e-mail thread has William clearly steering me away from potential performance issues and saving me money at the same time. Thanks William and Puget systems.

At the same time I bought my machine with Puget I had ordered a laptop for a family member through one of the large manufacturers, due to extreme budgetary constraints. My Puget machine was fully updated without all the junkware. I spent about 30 minutes registering Windows and office and setting up my user preferences and antivirus software. The laptop, which had the same exact OS and user software took me 8 hours to get ready for use because nothing was updated. Also there is a problem with the DVD drive and it will likely have to go back. Looking back it is not worth the money that was saved on Brand X."
