We hear the news that Visual Studio Code, a cross platform code editor, that is now available on OS X, Linux and Windows. Undoubtedly this is a good move for Microsoft, as many developers have left their platform, and they need to do as much as they can to get back into their good graces.

Quantum Computing

IBM recently made some announcements in break throughs for quantum computing. The pitfalls and hopes of quantum computing are briefly discussed.

Recap: Linuxfest Northwest

Puget Systems visited Bellingham, WA for Linuxfest Northwest 2015. We offer a recap of the event -- which was well attended. We were stunned by the great reception and all the familiar faces we saw at our booth. We also met a lot of new folks, all who we learned so much from.

Claim Chowder: AMD will die...so what's next?

I make the prediction that AMD will fall apart in the foreseeable future and why that could really change the game in HPC.
