Howdy!

We've been going through inventory, and found a pile of goodies that we need to get rid of. Either we've ordered more than we can use, or we've just had a hard time selling this product.

I just wanted to let you guys know about all this stuff, since (unlike many ebay auctions) you know it's coming from a reliable place.

Cheers!
Richard

P.S. - Paul wanted me to make this thread "Happy", so here you go:

Good thing to know. The rest of this topic that isn't related to eBay is just a little interesting....

Well thanks for clearing that up. I also have a few different "personas" when it comes to online gaming. Mainly being mlbpro417 for forums, AlbinoChicken for Halo and BattleFront, and Sizzle in Jedi Academy. To me, nothing beats a good, unique name in online gaming.

Posted on 2004-11-07 22:36:19

AlbinoChicken!? I think you killed me a few times a few months ago in BF1942 :)

Im afraid not. I have actually never played BF1942. But, I have some really good friends that do...

Posted on 2004-11-07 22:58:38

Oops, you're right, I misread "Battlefront." Well, there might be some other AlbinoChickens out there ;-)

Posted on 2004-11-07 23:16:43

Guess I'm gonna have to go get BF1942 so I can experience the killing frenzy :)

I've got the Asus Xonar, and I love it! Maybe I'm not an audiophile, but music and games sound immersive and full. I give the DX a thumbs-up!

It really doesn't help much at all...

And that said, that sounds like a pitiful excuse for a speaker. 103 DB @ one meter? That's never going to reach 100 people, to say nothing of 400. "easy base and treble controls" are very much out of reach when the speaker is mounted to a convention center ceiling. 50 watts is downright pathetic - if that's where the amp maxes out, you're going to be sounding terrible long before you hit 100 decibels. XLR input is handy, but not having an XLR out makes them practically useless in more than a single-speaker setup.

When you get down to it, I paid quite a bit less for my desk-sitters (two Tapco S-5), and they've got way more power and output quality than that thing.

My speakers are a little dated, but still . . . the overall sound is excellent.

I have the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 computer speaker system. It has a sub and 2 speakers. W/ a nice soundcard, these speakes really sing. I got them on sale (and with a coupon) at Best Buy for $80. Highly rated all around. I don't think you can beat them for the price.

don't short change yourself as klipsh pro media are one of the top 5 2.1 setups still to this day.... run audiomark thru them and see for yourself. then compare response frequencies and better yet let your ears be the judge with a good sound card/drivers that don't hiss when no sound going thru amp.

i had 2 sets of them setup and were talking great base!... i am all music no games so while klipsch went thru some growing pains they are still a top seller...some of which has to do with their deal with best buy... find me a set of 2.1's that respond any better for the price now of $149 and sales at best buy at $129...for what was $199 back in 2003.

there 5.1's are also great with a 12" sub.....

they have changed theiir din cable so as it's right angled and can't get banged into while at same time hard wiring they speakers instead of plugs so we can't make our own gold plated cables or even buy the monster cable kits they used to sell... thats the only down side.

but there aren't better 2.1's out there.

now there are some good 2.0's that like m-audios av30's and av40's but you lose a ton of low end sound that can be heard and felt yet they still are very good reference speakers for those of us working with music.

I've never gotten a Bose system into an environment where I can really listen to it, unfortunately. They keep making claims in their advertisements about "compare it to any other system" and "your satisfaction guaranteed", but I've never been able to find details on such an offer. I'll have to look more, as I happen to have access to a rather impressive selection of speakers thanks to work.

Hi Jon,
Have you checked Logitech's Z-2300 and Altec Lansing's VS2421 are the top best computer speaker available in the market at an estimated price range of $90 and $40 respectively. if you are looking for other varieties then please refer to below link.
