There are always alot of changes happening in the industry, and therefore in our product line, but we wanted to highlight a few of them here. First, we are now selling Intel's first 45nm chip, the QX9650 "Penryn". With more cache and lower power consumption, this chip is the new clear leader. We've also started selling nVidia's new GeForce 8800GT video card. This product caused a pretty big splash in the industry with it's great performance and killer price point, and really made alot of nVidia's old line obsolete. Both of these products are in huge shortage right now, but by leveraging our relationships with Intel, nVidia, and Asus, and by working closely with our various distributors, we are one of the first in the nation to get these products in stock, and shipped out!

We are a big fan of Antec and as such we use their products ALOT. We were able to expand our Antec-based product line recently, as we are now custom manufacturing windows for our whole color line of P180's. It has been a big hit and AMD even ordered 40 custom kits recently for a promotion they were running. On top of this, we've also started modding the Antec P190 for our watercooling systems, which is now a great option for people needing more space or using bigger motherboards! You can find out more about these additions at our website at https://www.pugetsystems.com/all_news.php?newsid=3024 .

We've developed a great relationship with OCZ over the past few months. Memory is a key part of the equation for both the performance and stability of any computer, and there is a lot of low quality products on the market. With OCZ we are direct with a solid, quality innovator in the industry. We are basing both our DDR2 and DDR3 around their lineup now, and we've been very happy so far. Furthermore, we've recently standardized all of our computers with OCZ Reaper modules with heatpipe coolers. The heatpipe coolers are doing a great job of keeping this high performance memory running cool, without the need for an extra fan. Even the lowest priced computers we are building are using this high-end memory. That's how important it is to us!

This year we had the opportunity to booth up with nVidia at a huge trade show in Seattle called PAX. We had a blast meeting customers and showing off our stuff. For a summary of what we did there, check out our news post at https://www.pugetsystems.com/all_news.php?newsid=2990 . In fact, we had so much fun we are making it a point of getting to more shows, and are going to be attending CES in January. If you are going to be there too, let us know!

We posted a few new additions to our hardware article repertoire, including an article on tweaking and maintaining WindowsXP, and an article on the ins and outs of power supplies. We invite you to take a look at them at https://www.pugetsystems.com/all_articles.php .

Are there other aspects of Puget you'd like to hear about? Let us know! We always welcome your suggestions and feedback.
