Hello, everyone!

Hello, everyone! We hope you've enjoyed a superb summer and are looking forward to a fun fall. It's time for the September edition of our newsletter and I'm going to get right to it...

In the News

Just in case you missed it… one of the biggest announcements last month was the release of AMD's 2nd Generation Threadripper 2990WX. We of course couldn’t wait to begin testing.

Our testing was even picked up in PC World.

Our testing isn't finished just yet. Still to come:

  • DaVinci Resolve
  • Premiere Pro CC 2018
  • After Effects CC 2018
  • Photoshop CC 2018

Keep your eyes open for new articles in the coming days in the Publications section of our website.

In other news, NVIDIA also made a big announcement at Gamescom on August 20. It unveiled GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 2080 and 2070 GPUs, the first gaming processors based on NVIDIA's new Turing architecture. Our very own William took a deeper look at what the future holds for this specific series.

Content Creators

We love working with content creators, so we were really excited to release a new video featuring filmmaker, Mike Pecci. We wanted to know WHY he chose Puget Systems to help him with his latest film, 12 Kilometers. It's a reason so simple... yet so right on. Check it out.

3D Printing Nerd, Joel Telling, is also using a Puget Systems workstation. He recently went full time on YouTube and he says by using our system, he's able to render faster, edit faster… really do everything faster. We’re looking forward to hearing more about the projects he’s working on.

Out in the Community

Last month, we announced a partnership with Pacific Science Center. We provided two systems specifically built to run virtual reality (VR) experiences. I recently had the opportunity to go check it out. I can't begin to tell you how cool I thought it was and I even posted my experience on our website. There’s limited time left to check it out… grab your tickets today!

On the Road

Next month, part of our team will be hitting the road to attend Adobe Max in Los Angeles. The October conference will bring together the world's top creatives and best-in-the-business experts to get attendees inspired, teach new skills and of course, play. Will we see you there?

Powerful workstations, low monthly payments

Wouldn't it be great if you could keep your business on track with the latest Puget Systems device? You can! With our refresh program, your employees can upgrade to the latest workstation any time after 24 payments. Thanks for the amazing work you guys are doing. Hands down the most in depth and insightful analysis of software and hardware on the web.
As a filmmaker myself using Resolve throughout my whole pipeline I'm really looking forward to the new Threadripper 2 and RTX generation articles. As Resolve 15 now include Fusion, will you include Fusion in your testing parameters?

Posted on 2018-09-05 22:16:49

We are doing a handful of Fusion testing in the upcoming Threadripper article, but it is pretty new to us. I really want to expand that testing in the future as we get more familiar with it though!
