CacheCade Pro software allows your LSI MegaRAID controller to use solid-state drives as a high-speed buffer for an array of hard drives. The CacheCade Pro algorithm monitors what data is "hot", or most commonly accessed, and intelligently caches that on the faster SSDs. It can be configured with a single SSD or several in their own array, depending on your performance and capacity needs.
Additionally, this package includes FastPath: a software upgrade from LSI, designed to get the most out of today's high-speed solid-state drives. It adjusts the performance profile of LSI's line of MegaRAID controllers to optimize them for SSDs, and is a natural compliment for the CacheCade setup. If you have more than three SSDs on a LSI controller, you should consider FastPath.
