CentOS is an open source distribution maintained by a skilled collection of contributors and users. CentOS is 100% compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), rebuilt from the RHEL source distribution that is in full compliance with Red Hat's redistribution requirements. CentOS is a community supported project geared toward users that do not require commercial support but do require an enterprise class operating system.

The Puget Peak systems use CentOS6.5 as the default testing environment during our build process and is the default OS shipped on the machines.
