With the latest version of Lightroom Classic CC, Adobe has greatly improved the CPU scaling for tasks like generating previews and exporting images. This means that if you typically work with a large number of images and often wait on generating previews and exporting images, there is now a solid performance benefit to using a 8+ core CPU. However, be aware that performance when applying effects and corrections will be slightly lower than with our general Lightroom workstation.
