Dr. Minnoch has been providing dental care to his patients for over 15 years and is no stranger to utilizing the latest tools and technology in his dental practice.
He also relies on a number of computers to keep his practice running efficiently. After running into a number of issues using less expensive equipment, Dr. Minnoch came to Puget Systems where we built him two Echo II and one Intel Spirit which help run his business today.
We wanted to gain a better understanding of how Dr. Minnoch uses his computers, and he was kind enough to take time out of his day for a quick Q&A.
Q: Can you tell us about the PCs you recently bought from Puget Systems?
A: I use my Echo II for everyday business tasks, such as e-mail and reading radiographs. I also use it for web browsing and media storage.
Q: What software does your practice rely that you run on your PCs today?
A: As a modern dental practitioner, I have invested in many new 3D technologies for my growing practice. I needed a desktop with a small footprint but large on features. I was attracted to the Echo II desktop because it was configured with all of the specifications that were required to run my CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) imaging software. I utilize the Galaxis software to render anatomical 3D images for virtual implant planning, pathology diagnosis, and surgical guide fabrication.
Q: What made you decided to upgrade your previous PCs?
A: I formerly worked with computers that were built locally. I did get a couple of lemons and liked the idea of having a top-shelf quality machine that would be ultra reliable.
Q: Why did you choose a small, local company like Puget Systems over a Dell or HP?
A: I chose a small local company because I chose to support the local economy, and Puget Systems has a longstanding reputation of excellence.
Q: What has been your experience with Puget Systems in terms of support and assistance?
A: Puget Systems' tech support is unmatched by any computer company I have used. From sneak peaks of the machines as they are built, to an annual check up, Puget Systems maintains a business practice policy that matches how I treat my own clients.
I haven't had any issues with my machines. You may find a slightly better price elsewhere , but in the end, the reliability and lack of maintenance saves hundreds in the end.
