Overview
AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper processors are their high-end desktop (HEDT) CPUs with an emphasis on lots of cores, threads, and PCI-Express lanes. That combination is ideal for content creation workloads that can utilize multiple cores effectively, like rendering, and heavy multitasking.
This system is built in a 5U chassis with two USB ports on the front and the bulk of the connectivity (more USB, audio, and networking) on the motherboard’s rear I/O panel. Internally, there is space for a wide range of options: dual video cards, up to 512GB of memory, and multiple solid-state and hard drive configurations. There are also powerful fans to ensure everything stays well cooled, but without the noise-dampening features a tower workstation can offer.
