This seems like a really well-designed product. It has a power-saving feature that automatically turns off your peripherals when it senses your PC is off. When it's connected with the included data cable, Windows 7 supports it with built-in drivers and puts the battery status display in your system tray, just like a laptop battery status icon.

A few possible drawbacks to mention: The unit does not have wall-mount capability. The unit is relatively big and heavy, weighing in at around 10 lbs.

The power out of the wall socket often has peaks and troughs, and that can cause stress to the power supply in your system. If the power does go out, you will need to see your monitor in order to save your documents and properly shut down your system.
