Puget Systems is located in Auburn, WA – 30 minutes south of Seattle. We provide high-performance custom workstation computers, servers, and storage solutions – with a focus on a highly personalized customer experience. We design computers for researchers, engineers, and content creation professionals as well as enterprise, educational institutions, and government agencies. We take great pride in the quality of our product and work hard to make sure the entire experience is excellent for each customer. You can read more on our About Us page.
As a small business, we understand that the quality of our company is defined by the quality of our people. Puget Systems offers a positive environment, flexible scheduling, generous pay and room for growth, paid time off and sick leave, parental leave and medical hardship leave, 401K matching and free financial wellness counseling, wellness reimbursement, volunteer matching, and full medical/dental/vision benefits.
In 2023, we entered the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Best Workplaces contest for the first time, and were recognized as 12th place in the Top 100 Best Workplaces in Washington. We’re excited to say that we made the list again in 2024, ranking 11th in 2024.

Benefits
Puget Systems is proud to offer great benefits to the team members who work for us. This is a list of some of the benefits our employees enjoy.
Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance w/ Optional HSA
All full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the company health insurance plan, with coverage available the first of the month following 30 days of employment. The insurance package includes medical, dental and vision care benefits.
401(k) Retirement Savings Plan and Financial Counseling
Saving for the future is important, and we want to help our employees build their retirement funds while they’re here. Our full-time employees receive a 4% match on 401(k) contributions. We offer both ROTH 401(k) and traditional 401(k) options, and all contributions are immediately vested.
We have also partnered with Captrust to provide employees with free financial counseling. Captrust’s team is local and committed to providing the best service possible to its customers, and are available for one-on-one planning sessions at your convenience. They also visit once a year to provide employees with general guidance and information on financial and retirement planning.
Paid Time Off (PTO) and Sick Time Off (STO)
New hires start off with 2 weeks of PTO (prorated), which can be used as soon as they have completed the training period. Amount of provided PTO is then increased by 8 hours each year following your first year anniversary at the company.
All employees accrue sick time off at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked, and you may begin using your accrued sick leave as soon as it is accrued.
Paid Holidays and Floating Holiday
Puget Systems observes the following as paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
We also offer 1 floating holiday each calendar year for employees to use. Recognizing that not all employees celebrate the same holidays, you are encouraged to use this floating holiday for a day that’s important to you!
Parental, Medical Hardship, Bereavement, and Jury Duty Leave
We are a family-friendly company, and support growing families by providing new parents with an additional 120 hours of paid time off to use to care for their newborn, or to bond with an adopted or newly-placed foster child.
In addition, we believes that medical hardships deserve special accommodation, and therefore offer full-time employees with an emergent medical situation up to 80 hours of additional paid time off.
Though everyone experiences grief differently, we want to ensure employees who lose a loved one are supported with additional time away from work. Therefore, we offer between 1-3 weeks of paid bereavement leave.
Finally, we recognize the importance of allowing employees to perform their civic responsibility, and offer up to 10 paid days of leave per calendar year for time spent serving on jury or witness duty.
Continuing Education and Wellness Reimbursement
We are supportive of employee career development! Puget Systems will cover the costs of test fees for any relevant certification testing.
In addition, to support employees in their efforts to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, we offer a 50% reimbursement to all full-time employees for items and services that support mental, physical, financial and psychological well being, up to $200 per quarter.
Volunteer Matching
We are committed to encouraging and supporting employees to make a difference in their local communities. With this in mind, Puget Systems donates $20 for every hour of employee community service, up to a maximum of $1,000 per employee per calendar year. Each year, Puget Systems will designate an organization that aligns with our company mission and goals to receive these matching funds.
Teams & Roles
Puget Systems could not be the company it is today without the employees – past and present – who have made it all possible. Everyone matters, from our founder and president to the newest hire. We regularly seek out motivated and talented people to join our growing business.
We strive to make Puget Systems as great a place to work as it is to purchase from, and we’ve been featured as one of the best mid-size places to work in Washington. That focus on employee satisfaction has led to a great ranking on Glassdoor, lots of opportunities for internal advancement, and a low turnover rate.

There are multiple teams here at Puget Systems, with a wide range of roles and positions we hire for as needed:
Our leadership team is helmed by Jon Bach, our company founder and president. He has gathered a great team around him to help steer Puget Systems into the future and take care of our employees. He also works closely with our technology team to ensure that our website, internal tools, and infrastructure meet our growing needs.
Positions on these teams include specialists in human resources, accounting, IT, and software development.
Our R&D team works closely with hardware manufacturers, testing their components to determine suitability for the various systems we build and making sure that we are using the most reliable parts with the features that our customers need. They also provide feedback to OEMs and work with them to guide future hardware designs.
Positions on this team focus on testing and qualifying hardware to be included in our workstations and servers as well as project management.
Our marketing team is responsible for our website content, social media presence, trade show attendance, and partnerships with hardware manufacturers and influencers to help reach our audience. Puget Labs is a huge part of that: benchmarking components, publishing performance articles, and lending their expertise to craft our Recommended Systems and aid our sales consultants.
Positions on these teams include influencer marketing, event coordination, social media management, hardware testing, and workflow experts.
Our experienced sales consultants work with each individual customer to make sure they get the right system for their unique workflow and budget. We also have dedicated account managers for larger businesses, educational institutions, and government organizations to help build long-term relationships and craft custom solutions to enterprise-class technology needs.
Positions on these teams include sales consultants and account managers, both of which involve providing top-notch customer service.
Our tech support team is here to help you with any hardware-related problems that crop up on Puget Systems computers. We don’t outsource to a call center, but instead maintain a highly-trained team of customer service and support specialists here on-site. They are available via phone and email, and in the event that your computer needs repair work we have dedicated techs to get your system back up and running as fast as possible.
Positions on these teams include technical support representatives, repair technicians, and content authors.
Ensuring that we have all of the parts needed for building systems – whether laptops, workstations, or servers – is a huge challenge, but one that our supply chain team is more than capable of meeting. They work closely with manufacturers and distributors to forecast our needs, purchase components, manage warehouse inventory, assign parts out for assembly, and more.
Positions on this team include sourcing and purchasing specialists, inventory managers, and supply chain specialists.
The rubber meets the road when our assembly techs actually build your system, crafting each one with care and precision. Then our integration team installs the operating system and stress-tests the core components to make sure that performance is in line with expectations and ensure stability under load. Quality control is crucial to our workflow and is maintained every step of the way.
Positions on these teams include assembly and integration technicians, team leads, and specialists in laser etching and bracing design.
