I first learned about Puget Systems through YouTuber Barnacules Nerdgasm. Over the years he’s showcased several Puget builds, and seeing his experiences made me want to try them for myself. I eventually ordered a Puget laptop to replace my desktop — something powerful enough for my workflow but still flexible for future upgrades.

Nearly four months later, it has fully become my daily desktop replacement. I love how easy it is to swap components over time, and the footprint of the laptop has freed up a huge amount of desk space.

I’m a post sound pro tools guy and proud owner of a Puget Systems workstation. When I first opened the box I said, Uh, plutonium, wait a minute, are you tellin’ me that this sucker’s nuclear? Puget said, no, this sucker’s electrical. But I need a nuclear reaction to generate the one point twenty-one gigawatts of electricity. I said, that’s heavy. I hooked up the machine and started stress with my personal bottle necks and needs. I really hoped for the best. Puget said, If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour, you’re gonna see some serious shite. And that’s exactly what happened.

What used to make my system chug is now spiking at a whopping 14% cpu usage. Creative ideas are flowing. I revamping my entire film template. Thanks everybody over there. This thing is SWEEEET

I’ve put off writing a review for several months in now as I don’t think you can really get a feel for something right away. I have been a photographer for many years and have learned that unless it is really bad you don’t know everything about a new piece of equipment it for a while. This computer is everything I wanted. I use it for photo editing and I find everything about it responsive to my needs. The people at Puget Systems did their homework putting the system together. All parts of my workflow move along quickly; the system is well balanced. They took the time to select components that made the best use of the needs of the software that I told them that I use.
