Puget Systems Description

The Hydro CL3 is a self-contained CPU liquid cooling solution based on the CoolIT Eco II. It is designed as an all-in-one upgrade for the normal, CPU air-cooled units found in most computers. The benefits it offers over most air-coolers are better temperatures (which allows for overclocking) while maintaining moderately quiet operation.

We have noticed that removing the fan from the CPU's physical location on the motherboard can sometimes increase the temps of the chipset. This largely depends on other factors, such as the size of the computer case. Please check with your Puget Service Representative to see if additional fans or a different case should be used when choosing this cooler.

The Puget Hydro CL3 Liquid Cooling System fits AMD's AM2, AM2+, and AM3 CPUs as well as Intel's socket 775, 1155, 1156, 1366, and 2011 processors - and includes a 120mm PWM fan for cooling the radiator.

The Puget Hydro CL3 is a great way to really keep CPU temperatures down. It's essentially a self-contained liquid cooling system just for the processor, without the expense or hassle involved in a fully liquid-cooled build. Temperatures of other components in the system may rise slightly due to one of the case fan positions becoming dedicated to CPU cooling, which can occasionally cause problems depending on the system configuration. One of my favorite things about the Hydro CL3 is how quiet it is for the level of performance--it's not as quiet as certain air-cooling solutions, but it is much quieter than similar products offering a comparable level of cooling.
