NVIDIA Tesla K20 PCI-E 5GB (Passive) Main Picture

NVIDIA's Tesla K20 companion processor is built for GPU computing. It is based on the Kepler graphics chip, and is very similar to a video card - but with an emphasis on calculation performance rather than actually rendering data for display on a monitor. Tesla cards should always be paired with a professional-grade Quadro video card from the same generation to handle the actual display output, so in this case you would want to select a Quadro K-series graphics card to go with it.

By adding a Tesla processor to your workstation, you can take advantage of the newest analysis, simulation, and rendering tools within many industry-leading applications and see results from calculations in as little as half the time (compared to a video card alone). You can also accelerate some of the most complex tools exponentially faster than by adding a second CPU. It's a great solution for getting more done in less time, if your software can take advantage of it.

This is a passive (no fan) version of the Tesla K20, and thus can only be used in cases which provide the necessary level of airflow in the right location. Please check with our sales staff if you have any questions about whether an active or passively cooled Tesla is right for the system you are purchasing.
