The Broadcom MegaRAID 9520-2M2 is a RAID controller supporting two M.2 solid-state drives in either RAID 0 (striping) or 1 (mirroring). However, this card only supports PCIe Gen 4, so a pair of drives striped with it will be no faster than a single Gen 5 drive would be. As such, this card only makes sense to provide hardware-based mirroring for SSDs in situations where that level of redundancy is required - for example, when the OS volume needs to be mirrored.
