Micron's 7450 PRO line of NVMe solid-state drives offer a combination of endurance and high-speed storage for demanding workloads. These M.2 NVMe drives are built for PCI-Express 4, with very fast read and write performance. This 960GB model is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 5.0GB/s and write speeds up to 1.4GB/s when used connected to a Gen4 controller. If used on an older Gen3 connection instead, those transfer rates drop roughly in half. Either way, real-world speeds will be lower and depend heavily on the application in use.
