The ASUS ESC4000A-E12 is a 2U rackmount server built to accommodate up to four dual-slot GPUs. It utilizes an AMD EPYC 9004 Series processor, which supports a massive 128 PCI-Express Gen 5 lanes as well as 12 DDR5 memory channels - ensuring plenty of bandwidth for running multiple graphics cards and intense workloads.
Storage options include six front-accessible hot-swap bays but no internal M.2 slots. Two of the front bays house 2.5-inch drives and support both SATA and U.2 connections. The other four are 3.5-inch size, with all four supporting SATA and two also supporting U.2.
External connectivity consists of six USB ports (4 in front, 2 in back), two Gb LAN ports, and another LAN for remote management. There is an OCP 3.0 slot for installing a faster network adapter, though, as well as a couple of half-length PCIe 5.0 slots for other expansion needs.
