The XpertStation is MSI's variant of NVIDIA's DGX Station platform, which is a full tower workstation for AI development, model fine-tuning, and inference. It is most noteworthy for featuring the massive GB300 superchip, made up of a powerful Blackwell-architecture GPU with 252GB of high-bandwidth memory and an ARM-based CPU that features another 496GB of slower DDR5 memory. Those can be pooled to run huge AI models, though large models will run a bit slower when utilizing the lower-speed DDR5.
Unlike the smaller DGX Spark, this system has some room for additional internal components. For users who want high-performance graphics, a dedicated video card can be installed. There are also two unused M.2 slots for more storage and a slot for a WiFi module. A 10Gb Ethernet port is built-in, along with dual 400G ConnectX-8 QSFP ports for high-speed networking. A few USB and audio ports are also available, for peripherals.
In terms of software, the XpertStation comes with an NVIDIA-customized version of Ubuntu Linux, branded as DGX OS, as well as NVIDIA development tools pre-installed.
