Some users and organizations require their computers to not just have wireless communication disabled, but physically absent. However, many high-end motherboards include those capabilities - primarily WiFi and Bluetooth - bundled from the factory. Moreover, there is quite a bit of work involved in removing WiFi/BT modules from some of those motherboards, as they are often situated behind other components and thus require removal of heatsinks and shrouds to access. This service line item covers the additional labor time involved to disassemble the board, remove the module, and then reassemble.
