WARNING: Submerging your hardware in mineral oil will void your warranty. Do this project only at your own risk. Puget Systems is not liable for any hardware problems, or damage to your personal property. Minerial oil is very difficult, if not impossible to clean from your components once they are submerged.

Aquarium Module

The aquarium module contains all the parts necessary to mount your computer hardware in the aquarium. It would be the equivalent of the computer chassis. This system is capable of dissipating the heat of low end systems.

Delivery Time: typically ships in 3-7 business days.

Cost: $237.50
Includes:

Modded aquarium tank

Custom motherboard tray

Power/HDD LEDs
The aquarium needs some brackets removed and trimmed before it can fit a motherboard tray. We have designed an acrylic motherboard tray for this exact purpose. Each one is waterjet cut, and includes an aluminum IO panel, motherboard standoff, and all necessary screws. Since the oil is clear, you can attach LEDs directly onto the motherboard headers!

Power switch

Power socket

Right angle power cord
Mounts to the top of the acrylic motherboard panel. Mouted to the top panel, this power socket is imporant in preventing wicking. Includes a modded extension cord to bottom of tank. To connect underneath the plastic hood, the aquarium computer requires a right-angle power cord.

Includes all mod work needed (cutting, soldering, drilling, etc), and assembly. This work is quite extensive, and is not done if you purchase each component separately from our parts store.

Does NOT Include (but you might want):

Submerged Mounting bracket

Cold Cathode Lights

SATA/Power Pass Through
Allows items such as SSD hard drives, water pumps, and just about anything else to be mounted submerged in the oil. Includes all necessary screws. The aquarium kit has been specifically designed to allow for the mounting of cold cathode lights to the top of the system, shining down into the oil. Mounting holes provide convenient attachment. To run non-SSD hard drives outside the oil, this adapter is necessary if you do not have eSATA on your motherboard. It also provides molex power to the fans on the radiator.
