Assembly and Cabling
We have received a lot of praise here at Puget for the time and care we put into proper assembly of our computers. Within each workstation we build, components are positioned to avoid creating hot spots and to maximize cooling efficiency. We also take great care to run all the cabling so it does not restrict air flow, and so that it looks great if you ever need to open the system up and work on it!

Puget has, by far, the best customer service I’ve ever seen. Jon Bach has already gotten enough praise from these testimonials, so I’m going to give Wilson Chau (who helped with my order) some praise as well. When I accidentally ordered a motherboard and processor that were incompatable, he let me know within an hour of the time I placed my order, and helped me pick a different motherboard. When one of the pieces of hardware I ordered dropped in price between the time I placed my order and the time it shipped, he went out of his way to take off the difference in price. If it weren’t for that, I might be complaining a bit about Puget’s prices (especially on cases). As it is, my only complaint is that they don’t offer financing; if they did, I probably would have spent about another $300.

I want to commend Puget Custom Computers and Jon Bach for technical support I received nearly a year after I bought my computer (first of two, that is). I had managed to corrupt my copy of Windows XP (due to no fault of the hardware) and needed to run the repair routine from the Windows CD ROM. Various complications ensued, and though I was having visions of expensive repairs (I’m on the East Coast), I called the company on Friday night my time. The business phone forwarded to Jon’s car, and during his commute (!) he walked me through a simple cabling change that allowed me to complete the repair routine successfully. On Monday he counseled me on a software download that let me restore full functionality to my video card, and all was back to normal (well, as much as XP is ever normal). All this help was skillfully and cheerfully delivered, and I never had any sense that anything else was a higher priority for him until I was back in operation. The prices were very competitive, even versus my first choice of Alienware, and the fact that they get the computer out of the door 3-4x faster is great for impatient customers such as myself. I was a little concerned when the testing process took a day longer than expected, but when the computer was boxed up and ready to go, Jon emailed me and told me they were upgrading my shipping from 2-day to overnight, for free, to compensate. VERY pleasant surprise, and certainly not the sort of thing you would expect from those big computer retailers. My faith in PCC was well-deserved, and I will certainly give them my business again
