Background on Intel Xeon W-3200 Series
Intel's Xeon W-3200 series is based on the Cascade Lake Xeon Scalable architecture. This brings a higher core count, more memory channels, and support for more PCI-Express lanes to a single-socket workstation platform than Intel has previously offered. That combination makes these Xeon W chips a great choice for high performance workstations, especially when multiple GPUs are needed, but it comes with a higher price tag than other workstation-focused Xeons as well.
