Additional Notes:
The new nVidia GTX 480 video cards are both fast and hot! This system is running two of them, liquid cooled by our custom P183 Cooling Package.
Before we ship any of our systems out, we log some thermal images of them, to make sure that temperatures are where we want them. I've uploaded one of these, so you can see a visual representation of how well the cooling system works on those video cards.
Looking at our logs, the highest temperature the video cards ever hit during the benchmarks was about 45C. The CPU Maxed out around 65C, which is an excellent temperature, especially for an overclocked i7 980X. This thing crushed our benchmark tests, averaging about 50fps in Dirt2, with the highest possible settings. (At medium settings and resolution this thing was hitting over 100fps).
Inevitably, it's just a matter of time before new processors and new video cards put this thing to shame, but for now, this system is our King of the Hill.
