AcoustiPack Acoustic Composite Sheet Package Main Picture

This kit of sound-dampening materials allows us to coat the inside of your computer's case with a layer of high-quality foam padding. It does a great job of reducing any leftover noise from fans and hard drives, and is a good choice if you want to make the quietest system possible. However, it is also important to make sure that the other parts of your system are at least somewhat quiet to begin with.

Jon Bach (President) Says:
This only makes sense to get if having a quiet machine is very important to you. But make sure you pair it with good decisions across the board regarding noise levels. If you have one loud part in your computer, it isn't quiet anymore!
Wilson Chau (Consulting Manager)
Wilson Chau (Consulting Manager) Says:
The Fractal R5 and R2 XL already include sound dampening material so this may not be necessary to add with those systems.

Jeff Stubbers (Tier 3 Consulting Lead) Says:
Adding AcoustiPack is a good way to help dampen the noise of components in your system. Of course, it is always best to choose quiet components to start with if a quiet system is important to you. Do not choose this option if you have a side panel window on your case, since we won't be able to apply it where it is most useful.

I do not recommend using this in the Fractal Design *Define* cases, as those cases already come with noise dampening built-in, and makes this option redundant and incompatible.
Ruben Romero (Tier 3 Integration Lead)
Ruben Romero (Tier 3 Integration Lead) Says:
To make the most use out of Acoustipak use a caser made of sturdy material. A case with alot of holes for ventilation lets the noise from internal components escape easier. A door in the front of the case also helps to reduce the noise and more when the material can be applied to it. Loud parts can be dampened by Acoustipak, though it will not make them silent.

Features

  • Arguably the most effective on the market
  • Effective dual-density composition
  • Dense but flexible - easy to cut and shape
  • Comprehensive fitting recommendations
  • Thoroughly tested to meet flammability standards

Contains a combination of different thickness soundproofing materials as needed per system (up to 3 sheets total).

Suitable for very noisy enclosures or for the very highest level of noise reduction

The resulting material has a low-reflection and high-absorption acoustic performance. These properties make the material ideal for lining the inside of computer cases, where internal reflection of noise can be minimised and dampened before it is allowed to escape via any air vents or similar openings.
