AMD Threadripper 9000 and Threadripper PRO 9000WX
AMD is updating their high-end desktop (HEDT) and workstation-class CPU lines with their latest Zen 5 microarchitecture, support for faster DDR5 memory, and more.
Threadripper 9000 & Threadripper PRO 9000WX Workstations
Following in the footsteps of recent Ryzen™ and EPYC™ processor updates, AMD is now bringing their powerful Zen 5 architecture to the high-end desktop (HEDT) market with the Threadripper™ 9000 series. These are available in 24, 32, and 64-core models which slot into the same TRX50 motherboards that the TR 7000 series use. Similarly, the workstation-class Threadripper™ PRO 9000WX fits in existing WRX90 boards and is available in sizes from 16 to 96 cores.
Both of these processor families offer increased performance over the previous generation, with increased max boost speeds, as well as support for higher speed DDR5 6400MHz memory. Their Zen 5 architecture also brings full AVX512 512-bit functionality and other under-the-hood improvements.
