We make reliability one of our highest goals here at Puget Systems. Not only are failed parts costly for us to replace, but they are also very frustrating for you! That hurts our reputation, which is even more costly than the part replacement. To make sure we are minimizing component failures, one of the biggest things we can do is make sure our entire product line is high quality and not prone to failure.
All components in our product line are reviewed weekly. Any trends in failure rates are acted upon immediately, leaving us with a highly reliable product line that continues to improve. We make sure we do not add a part to our product line unless we feel we can stand behind it. This results in a high quality product, that works as it should. You can feel confident that any selection you make on our website is a quality product.

Acting on this data, we quickly pivoted our Micro ATX AMD Ryzen based workstations from using the MSI MAG B550M MORTAR motherboard to the ASUS TUF B550M-PLUS model. Granted, we hadn’t sold as many of the ASUS yet – but having almost 6% of the MSI boards fail during assembly (none of them were field failures) was enough to raise a red flag for us, especially compared with the much lower failure rate of the larger GIGABYTE B550 VISION D. We already had the ASUS qualified as a backup, too, so the transition was simple and should result in more reliable systems for our customers. The solutions aren’t always as simple as this, and there are often more variables to consider, but this is a great example of how these records give us hard data on how to continually improve.
Unlike big box computer manufacturers, we’re small enough to react quickly to any changes that we see in reliability. Our size allows us to be much more nimble, and we qualify multiple product line options, so that we can pivot easily when the need arises. We feel strongly that Puget Systems is in the perfect position: we are large enough to keep good statistical data while also agile enough to act on it quickly. That is a rare ability!

I am very pleased with my system I bought from Puget Custom Computers. The entire experience from beginning to end was great. I’ve had my PC from Puget for the better part of a year now. Why did I wait so long to add a a review? Simple: anyone can sell you an item, but good support and the overall config/purchase experience will always be a defining factor.
Firstly, the actual machine. Arrived sooner than expected (!) and in good condition. The packaging was better than what I would have expected. The extra few bucks for the upgrading cabling is worth it all. Machine booted up and ran like a charm on the first try.
Secondly, the support. I had a DVD drive crap out a short time. Since it’s not a solid-state part (i.e. it has moving parts) that’s no big deal. Now here’s the trick: 2 emails with support on troubleshooting and then a no-hassle drive swap under warranty. Perfect.
Overall, the experience has been quite good and I can’t really dig on Puget for any reason. Some say that they are a bit more expensive, but if you’re apt to complain about $50 extra on a $2000 computer, you need to go shopping somewhere else. Go ahead and save the 3% on cost, but you’ll pay for it in the end if ANYTHING goes wrong. Puget Custom Computers give good value for the product they supply and an honest work ethic for which I (among many others) are quite happy to pay for. Too bad buying a car isn’t a nice!

I purchased a pc from Puget in september of this year. I had never heard of them until I was in the market for a new pc. I looked at reseller ratings, as I am a firm believer in them. I only deal with companies that have a platinum rating of 9 or better. There I found Puget Systems. The computer they made for me was truly custom, as I was looking for a system with Windows XP Pro and with Windows Vista Ultimate. William helped me to build a machine with swapable harddrives, one each with the appropiate OS. A 3 gig core-duo proc, a couple gigs of fast ram, an 8800 768mg video card with directX 10, DVD burner, and a nice quiet Antec case. They built the machine in a reasonable amount of time, shipped it with the best packaging I have ever seen. The machine is flawless, runs beautifully, and never hicupped once! I have even made use of their support. I talked with James who helped me more than any tech support for any company has ever done. These people bend over backward to help their customers. I have never bought anything that did not have a manual until I bought this computer. When I told them about it, they said I should have received one, but they never sent me one.
