Drivers and Updates
It is very important for compatibility and performance that the latest drivers are used on a computer. When we install the operating system on your workstation, we use the latest stable drivers provided by the manufacturer of each part. We also update the BIOS on your motherboard and apply all available Windows security patches!
Please note – if you are looking for drivers for your existing Puget Systems workstation, follow these steps:
- Click on My Account in the upper right-hand corner of our website
- Log into your account
- A list of your orders and quotes will come up – select the order number for the system you need drivers for
- A summary of the parts on that order will come up – select the component that you are seeking drivers for (note that the motherboard will have drivers for any features that are part of it: onboard video, audio, networking, WiFi, SATA, chipset, etc)
- A page will open with information specific to that component – click on the Download Drivers button at the bottom of that page
- That will take you to the component manufacturer’s driver download page, where you can download the latest drivers

I bought a high performance PC from Puget in July 2004 (P4C800-E, 3.2GHz, 1 GB RAM, ATI Radeon X800 Pro, Matrox RT.X10 video editing kit, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, etc.). The PC was set up beautifully. Puget’s staff answered my (many) questions about the machine before I finally placed an order. Shipping was very fast. I had a few questions after having received the machine and Puget was just as supportive after shipping as they were before. These boys run a very tight ship, are very knowledgeable and offer great service. While not the cheapest, I would venture to say that they are certainly the very BEST in terms of service and quality. When I need a new PC in a few years, I definitely plan on coming back to Puget.

Any company is great until a problem arises. It is what they do about a problem that distinquishes the quality of a company’s character. And surely enough, a problem arose while building a computer for my son just before Christmas. On Friday, a week before Christmas, while testing, the base unit misbehaved. When the problem was not immediately identifiable, I was notified about the problem and told that a new base unit and some other components would be ordered. I told them I was worried that there was no way to get it to me by Christmas. They said they would order what they needed overnight and the problem would be taken care of. And that is exactly what Pugetsystems did. When I asked them about what was wrong with the original unit, I was told, “We don’t know yet. We are just going to replace everything for now to make sure you get the computer for your son in time for Christmas morning. We will worry about the other unit later.” The parts came, they worked on it over the weekend, upgraded my shipping to 2nd day at their own expense, and absolutely “wowed” both my son and me. Me because of the quality of service I was provided, and my son because of the awesome gaming unit he received. Re-reading this I guess I sound like a plant, but I have never been treated in this personal a fashion at any time in all of my Internet shopping experiences (which are considerable).
