Ryzen Workstations
The Ryzen CPU family is AMD's mainstream processor line, but in terms of performance these chips can rival high-end desktop (HEDT) models from other manufacturers. Offering up to 16 cores while maintaining high per-core clock speeds, Ryzen performs well in a wide range of applications and covers a multitude of price points as well. If you want something even more powerful, the Threadripper series offers even more cores, memory channels, and PCI-Express lanes.
AMD's third generation of Ryzen processors offer more cores and higher clock speeds than previous models. Both of those improvements are enabled by use of multiple "chiplets" built on a 7nm process together with a larger 12nm IO die to tie them all together. In addition to architecture improvements, these processors also support faster memory - but the officially supported speeds depend on how many memory modules are used and whether they are single or double rank.
