AMD Threadripper Workstations
Threadripper is AMD’s HEDT and workstation processor line, offering more cores, memory channels, and I/O than Ryzen CPUs with higher clock speeds than their EPYC server chips.
AMD’s Threadripper and Threadripper PRO processors offer very high core counts but with faster turbo boost speeds than the EPYC family – while also supporting many more PCI-Express lanes and memory channels than the mainstream Ryzen models. The latest Threadripper 9000 generation increases per-core performance and memory bandwidth even further, thanks to its use of AMD’s newer Zen 5 core architecture and support for faster DDR5 RAM.

We offer computers with AMD Threadripper processors in two sizes: both mid- and full-tower workstations. Larger systems can house a wider range of hardware, including additional video cards, storage drives, various expansion cards, and more. We also offer AMD-based workstations in rackmount form.

AMD Threadripper 9000 Details
Following in the footsteps of recent Ryzen™ and EPYC™ processor updates, AMD is now bringing their powerful Zen 5 architecture to the high-end desktop (HEDT) market with the Threadripper™ 9000 series. These are available in 24, 32, and 64-core models which slot into the same TRX50 motherboards that the TR 7000 series use. Similarly, the workstation-class Threadripper™ PRO 9000WX fits in existing WRX90 boards and is available in sizes from 16 to 96 cores.
Both of these processor families offer increased performance over the previous generation, with increased max boost speeds, as well as support for higher speed DDR5 6400MHz memory. Their Zen 5 architecture also brings full AVX512 512-bit functionality and other under-the-hood improvements.
