Puget Rackstation T130-5U
This 5U rackmount workstation features AMD’s Threadripper 9000 processors and supports dual NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs – but to run them has loud fans and requires a 200-240V circuit.
Overview
AMD’s Ryzen™ Threadripper™ processors are their high-end desktop (HEDT) CPUs with an emphasis on lots of cores, threads, and PCI-Express lanes. That combination is ideal for content creation workloads that can utilize multiple cores effectively, like rendering, and heavy multitasking.
This system is built in a convertible 5U chassis with two USB ports on the front and the bulk of the connectivity (more USB, audio, and networking) on the motherboard’s rear I/O panel. Internally, there is space for a wide range of options: multiple video cards, up to 512GB of memory, and a wide range of solid-state and hard drive configurations. In order to support dual GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell video cards, the power supply requires a 240V circuit. There are also powerful fans to ensure everything stays well cooled, but they can get very noisy depending on the GPUs.
| GPUs | Noise Level |
|---|---|
| 2 x RTX 5090 or 6000 Blackwell WS | Very High |
| 2-3 x RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q | Moderate |
| 1 x RTX 5090 or 6000 Blackwell WS | Low |
