Ableton Live needs a lot of processing power, but if you are working with smaller track counts or need to keep your costs down, then AMD’s Ryzen™ processors offer solid performance without extreme prices. They don’t have as many cores as more workstation-oriented platforms but still offer up to 16 cores and 256GB of memory. This performance profile also makes this configuration well-suited to other DAWs like Reaper and Adobe Audition.
For connectivity, this quiet tower system has numerous USB ports (including a few Type C) on the front and back, 10GbE wired networking capability, and WiFi. Its also has plenty of space inside for multiple solid-state drives, and a few PCIe slots for an HDX or other expansion card.
